Abstract: This handbook on Alberta oil sands and bitumen/heavy oil properties consists of three major data sections: 1) chemical and physical properties of bitumen/heavy oil (e.g. density, viscosity, gas solubility, specific heat, heat of combustion, distillation characteristics, etc.). 2) chemical and physical properties of oil sands solids (e.g. mineralogy, grain size distribution, permeability, thermal conductivity, etc.); 3) physical properties of oil sands (e.g. bulk density, water and bitumen saturations, porosity, relative permeability, compressibility, etc.). References are with the individual sections.
